Dark lager has caramel sweetish taste; here you can find slight scent of burnt malt. Its taste is full and the foam dense. This brand is immediately intended for refreshing the humankind’s neater half.

Half-liter bottle, $1.50 clearance at Binny’s. Immediately a better start that the lite beer from this brewer I had yesterday. No skunk under the cap. Instead, some straight-up dark roast malt nose, though with a little too much cereal. Taste shows some cereal grain, too, but it starts to remind me of the European take on dark lagers, the ones just thick enough to be called dunkels like this here. Certainly quite hearty for a standard strength beer. For fun I used a Trumer "bullet" pils glass, and got a big glass full of dark foam. Sticky dark beer with occasional notes of sour and plum. Definitely give this one a try.

Clear dark brown beer. Crisp light palate. Pleasant mildly chocolate malt with just a touch of roastiness. A little fruity hop peeping through at the end. A superior dark lager!

(bottle) Clear, mahogany colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Roasty malty and bready aroma with notes of caramel and a touch of molasses. Sweet flavour with a tinge of bitterness, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Solid roasty malty and slightly molassy taste, drying out towards the roasty bitter finish with mildly hoppy notes. Like a diluted dark Bock. Good. 30.IX.10

Bottle from Half Time. Pours clear dark brown with a three finger foamy tan head. Aromas of brown roast malt with some significant grassy hop. Medium body with fairly strong carbonation. Flavor is like the brown ale malts, but the grassy hop bitter makes it wholly unlike a brown ale. This is pretty good stuff. Flavor may be a bit light for a dunkel, but ??? Anyway it drinks pretty well.

Dark green bottle and a dark beer make for an interesting pour. Some cabbbage aroma but not in a bad way. First taste is darkish and just a tad of bitterness. Dark yet no gunk on bottom of bottle. Mostly enjoyable flavors are roasty and like some burned wet sood but it is not overwhelming in any way. Has enough beer personality to make it a beer but not enough to make it rude. Decent carbonation too. Finish has some of that typical pilsner bte so common in many of the beers from Check. It says on the side of the bottle: This brand is immediately intended for refreshing the humankind’s neater half. ...well I’m not sure about that, heheheh. It does however have this mild weird kinda tartness to it on the finish, if you look.

Bottle, 4.8%. Fruity aroma. Clear dark brown colour, red shine. Small stable light brown head. The flavour is roasted and a little sweet. Has a hint of winegum. There is a little roasted note in the aftertaste. OK, but on the sweet side.
