Oldham Beer Festival 2023. Dark clear copper-amber with a glow to it. Smooth tasting porter, fairly full in its taste at a very appealing strength. Includes mild roasted malts in both aroma and taste.

Bottle. Poured dark brown with a bubbly off-white to beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, touch of coffee and dark fruits. Moderate sweetness and medium roasted bitterness. Medium body. Have had this cask too. It's pretty decent.

3rd LCRBM. Slight roast aroma. Firm roast flavor with some malt and licorice. Just a bit sweet. A touch of milk. Just below medium bodied. Nice porter, without being spectacular.

Bottle from Alder Carr Farm Shop, Needham Market. Roasty cardboard aroma. Opaque cola brown. It's a lively one - thick foamy beige head. Sour with some bitternes. Dark berries and restrained coffee. Quite tangy. Develops a roasty character as it warms up. Medium bodied. Slick to creamy. Low key fizzy carbonation. Long astringent finish. It's fine. The sourness provides some character.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 18th February 2018. Dark reddish brown with thin tan film and spot lacing. Bittersweet roasty aroma. Complex roastiness in-mouth with smokiness - woodsmoke. A touch of coffee in the finish. A fairly light body and a smooth yet engaging mouthfeel.
