Black Bird is Bird's Golden Classic. It smells fresh and slightly acidic with hops, and it is also the hops that give the beer the distinctive taste - dry with a discreet hint of fruit. Dark Münchner malt is the main ingredient in Black Bird, which instead of "classic" can also be termed an under-fermented lager beer.

From a second trade with faroeviking, thanks Jacob.
Canned(500ml). –Clear amber coloured, medium sized white head, dusty vegetable nose. Sweet malty taste with nutty and caramel notes. Moderate bitter watery finish. Nice can. To be honest, I’ve expected much more.

Can received in a trade with faroeviking, shared with ozujsko. Poured a medium to big white head that went away slowly. Dark amber-gold colour. Nose... nuts, alcohol (eh?), malt. The taste is watery, a touch astringent with a nice, if a bit odd nutty maltiness being all there is to find.

(33cl bottle) Clear, amber colour with an off-white foamy medium head. Moderately sweet, slightly acidic malty, slightly nutty nose with a whiff of caramel. Light-sweet flavour with a shy bitterness; light to medium bodied; medium to crispy carbonation. Malt-accented taste with faint notes of toffee, sweet and slightly tart finish with an unpleasant bitterness at the end. Hardly drinkable.

Can. Almost copper-colored, with an off-white head. Fruity aroma with hay and malt. Flavor has much the same, but the malt is more in the front row here. Thin body and a lightly fruity finish. Decent, but nothing to repeat. (060616)
