Pitch black colour, brown foam. Very complex, lots of roasted malts, some vanilla sweetness with boozy and complex peaty and whisky finish.

12/X/24 - on tap @ 1ste Kwatrechts Bierfestival by Gentse Biervereniging, BB: n/a (2024-1124)

Clear dark brown to black beer, creamy beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice, good roast, caramel, vanilla notes, alcohol, some whisky. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: good roast, alcohol, whisky, coffee touch, caramel, chocolate. Aftertaste: more alcohol, whisky, soft roast, coffee, bitter, sweet touch, overripe banana, meh, a bit too much alcohol but decent enough.

15 September 2024. At 16de Brugs Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke, Kevin & Jerre!

Rerate for the heck of it. Intense bourbon, brandy, chocolate sauce, vanilla, fudge. Sweet fudge, milk chocolate, cappuccino. Peppery hops and warming bourbon alcohol. Full body, creamy. I liked this way better now, or it has simply improved.

Original rating: 10 June 2023. 8/7/8/6/8=7.5
At 15de Brugs Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke, mom, dad, et al.

A: cloudy black, small, frothy, beige head.
A: green apple, raisin, cherry, bourbon, wet wood.
T: sweet green apple & pear, chocolate, dark fudge.
F: herbal hops, dried fruit, chocolate, softly bitter coffee, warming Irish coffee-like alcohol.
P: medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation.
Slightly less enticing BramBrass Stout; which is not even a bad thing.
