Excellent 3F funk, gentle woody notes rather than prominent oak. Sour with stone fruit and berry notes.

Pours cloudy, darker blonde. Small to no white head. Scent is woody, rough, no vanilla (unlike the american wood) smooth and full. Taste is full, creamy, geuze. Less wood-forward or specific than the American Oak. Just a great, full bodied geuze. Pretty good as is, but surprisingly 'normal'.

750mL bottle at 3 Fonteinen lambik-o-droom, pours a cloudy bright orange with a small white head. Aroma is very oaky and woody, with plenty of toasted oak, a touch of char, light leather, and some earthiness. Oaky, slightly less intense than the American, but pretty much the same to me. Excellent.

750ml shared with Ryan and Phill and an American gang. Appearance: hazy golden with a white head. Aroma: very interesting oak, like in between American and French. Less intense than American, but definitely not as neutral as French one. Taste: noticeable, but not very intense, oak notes, moderate funk and minerals. Overall: nice one.
