Bottle shared at 3 Fonteinen, for Rich's 50th Bruxelles adventure. A light hazed orange coloured pour with a lasting loose white head. Aroma is leafy, mineral, lemon rind, perfume, mineral. Flavour is composed of tart, pithy lemon, tart, leafy citrus, spicy citrus, light mineral. Palate is mid tart, mild pucker, prickly highish carbonation. Nice.

Bottle split at 3F Lambik O Droom, 10/02/24. Moderately hazed orange to light amber with an off white cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is funk, damp oak, herb, dish cloth, lemon rind, straw. Taste comprises dusty fruit esters, modest acidity, grass, hedgerow, vinous, earthy. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close with a light acidic kiss. Decent.

Pours cloudy darker blonde. No real head. Scent is quite unique, can't put my finger to it, but it's like a rough, mineral woodyness. Slightly acetic, something i recognize from the good Champagnes when we visited than region - though the 2 drinks aren't very similar in general. Taste is full, mushrooms, funky, very aged factor. Quite damn unique and great, though the aroma is quite easy going. A robust geuze that presents itself as a gracefully aged, 10-ish year old vintage. What could this evolve into? I'm jealous of who will actually be able to tell !

750mL bottle at 3 Fonteinen lambik-o-droom, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle ash smoke upfront, earthy leather, and a touch of funk. Flavour is quite smoky, with some vanillin, gentle acidity, gentle earth, and lighter on the palate compared to the 4 precious. Good but perhaps my least favourite.

750ml shared with Ryan and Phill and an American gang. Appearance: hazy deep golden with a white head. Aroma: funk and minerals with some creamy/buttery/yogurty/sour_creamy smooth notes. After breathing it's getting to the dry sweet wood territory. Taste: along the same lines, moderately acidic. Overall: pleasant enough.
