This is the way.

Ripe strawberry & pithy orange on the nose, a firm malt backbone, balanced yet full bitterness.

44cl can from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours orange gold, hazy, with fine white foam. Aroma is fruity, hoppy. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is medium-high bitter. Final is average, but with still quite a bitterness.

West Coast-style APA by this pioneer of English postmodern style craft brewing (no longer run by the same people though), referring to the popular Star Wars series The Mandalorian. At Tilquin English Beer Festival. Egg-white, frothy and thick, cobweb-lacing, stable head, near clear orange blonde robe with deep, warm old-golden glow. Aroma of yellow grapefruit, crackers, wormwood leaves, unsalted peanuts, olive oil, orange pith, pink peppercorns, green pear, dandelion. Dry-fruity onset, some unripe apricot and green pear but generally clean, moderately carbonated with slick, oily body; hard-caramelly, cracker-like, bit toasty maltiness under growing hop bitterness, floral and citric at first, then quickly turning peppery and wormwoody, with a long rooty tail – but remaining well in balance with the inherent sweetishness of the malts. Very decent and very true to the original American IPA and APA style I love – this is the way!

Draft @ Tilquin English Beer Festival '23.

Pours an unclear, warm amberblonde. medium large white head. Scent is pine, fine maltyness (some caramel malt) , medium loud. Very promissing ! taste is full, pine, fairly - but not completely - dry. Medium intense bitterness, for a westcoast, which is intense in today's offerings. Correctly, it's a bit more malty ( and a touch less ABV) than a IPA would be, but as a west coast pale ale, this does straight up what it promisses - which is a very nice surprise as this is a UK brewery, whom I previously remembered as 'OK'. For them to make a classic US style this well, is absolutely pleasurefull! Fairly creamy mouthfeel - for a beer this 'unsweet' , perhaps due to a minor residual sugar content, masked by the bitterness. Medium to medium low carbonation - exactly fitting the beer. Aftertaste is medium long.

Cloudy orange beer, dense irregular creamy white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lovely, very fruity, juicy, tropical fruits, very nice! MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: lovely, good malty backbone, fruity, juicy, some oranges, tangerines, mango, lovely bitterness, very nice and refined P.A.! I really like it!
