As Black. One of those fancy pants 650ml cans, from Oseyo shop, Guildford. Aroma has a sweet caramel streak alongside fruit and espresso. Opaque cola brown. Frothy foamy beige head. Bitter - coffee and charcoal but with a damp almost AF beer element to it. Tangy berries. Slightly synthetic sweetness. Light. Thin if slick. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Better than expected. Would drink this if I was in a bar that only had macro lager offerings.

Can at home from the local off licence. Dark brown/black colour with frothy golden head. Aroma, bit of soy sauce, dark malt, some toffee/caramel sweetness, but the aroma is pleasant but quite weak. Taste is what you would expect, some sweetness, something a bit savoury in there too, roasted/burnt elements, some creaminess. Have to say, I quite like it. Yebisu do seem to be the better end of the macros over here.

Can, bought on Amsterdam airport for a rediculous amount of money. Deep dark brown color. Caramel, roast and dark chocolate in the aroma and flavor. Malt is prominant in the finish. Remarkably good beer, almost worth the money.

Can. Very dark brown with a light tan head . High bead. Aroma of caramel, chocolate, grass. Taste is much the same - a little cola like and sweet, but drying cocoa and grass tidies up. Carries off the rich but light thing quite well. Refreshing but not very interesting to me.
