Old rating from notes. A good barleywine even with the bourbon addition. Sweet and heavy on the palate, notable alcohol and minimal carbonation. Caramel and spices, dried fruit.

Draught, taster @MBCC 2023, Copenhagen (Denmark). 06/05/2023. [#6.439 Global - #1.127 United States of America - #46 Forager Brewing Company] Pours jet black with a creamy beige head. Aroma: oak barrels, raisins, liquorice and burnt caramelly malts. Taste: dried fruits, dark chocolate, raisins and some coffee malts. Thick and boozy mouthfeel. Next one please!

Draught @ Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2023 (MBCC). Sweet and syrupy with loads of prunes, toffee, figs, barrel and caramel. Intense and thick.

MBCC 2023. Coffee bean color, decent ivory lacing. Nose: dried fruit, leather, whiskey, passito. Mouth: vanilla biscuit, lovely charming dried fruits, mild bitter finish. Work of art.
