Tap: ’t Arendsnest Amsterdam. Orange color, cloudy. Traubenzucker in the aroma. Vanilla flavor, harsh flowery hopbitterness. Hint of citrus. Yeast and loads of earthy hops in the firm and long aftertaste.

Bottled. Hazy orangeish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is zest, yeast, some salted liquorice along with a bunch of fruits. Flavour is similar with some earthy and cheesy notes. Sweet raisins and ripe fruits in the finish.

Tried as: Schans H-90 Lentedruppel 2001. (Not sure it’s the same so I will move rating if it appears to be a different beer!) Slightly hazy orange color, small white head. Smell sweet, malts, caramel. Taste malts, nuts, caramel and sweet. Medium carbo and body.

Vintage 2005
Clear dark brown cola colour, tan head (which disappears immediately). Aroma of Madeira, dark fruit, cheese, malts, raisin and some caramel. Flavour bit sweet, very light. Some dusty old yeast. Light carbonation. Bit thin, but quite nicely aged for the ABV.

2001 bottle, 8.6%. Oxidized aroma, quite malty, some sherry. Almost black colour, seems cloudy. Very small head. The flavour is sweet and peppery. Has some sherry notes, but it still a very good beer. Very good alcohol notes. Creamy flavour, spicy and fruity. Wow, this is extremely good. I probably would have rated this my best beer ever, had it been a few years younger.

33 cL bottle, vintage 2001. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is dense fruity and solid dark malty towards wineous. Light sourish note. Smooth fruity and wineous flavour with a nice malt base and a lovely liqourice flavour on the back of the tongue. Smooth wineous and dark malty into the far finish. Lovely.

I thought it was a lager. Aroma is sweet with citrus hops. Lightly sweet flavor of simple malt. Medium palate. Cloudy orange in color. An odd beer with a recipe that needs some work, but it has potential.
