Im Zwei-Maisch-Verfahren eingebraut. Unser Alt-Pahreser-Dunkel.

Bottle, 5.0%. Malty aroma, OK dark bread notes. Clear dark brown colour. Small stable tan head. The flavour is nicely malty, has a little brown sugar. Not so bready flavour.

Clear amber with a large beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and drying hops. Flavor came out dry with roasted malt, caramel and grassy hops. Fine body for the style. Finished roasted with hints of nuts.

Bottle. Thanks pivnizub. Dark amber, brown head. Nice honeyish sweet roasted nose - like chocolate roasted nots, light hop aromatics. Chocolate and roast on the forefront, sweet but not cloying, nice subdued hop balance. Medium body, sparkly mouthfeel. Flowery retronasal. Nice - I seem to have gotten one of the good bottles :-)

Bottle: Clear, chestnut-amber coloured, stable off-white foamy layer, visible carbonation; light aroma of bread-crusts in the caramelly-fruity nose; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; a touch of chocolate in the dryish sweet-bitter finish. A decent, well-balanced Dunkel..........

(bottle, the writing of “Alt Pahreser” is printed in tiny letters above “Dunkel”) Clear, dark amber colour with a reddish shine and a beige, medium-sized foamy head. Sslightly sweet and toasted malty aroma with a touch of caramel, chestnuts and a light herbal, slightly spicy hoppy note. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a well-carbonated, slightly crispy carbonation. Toasted malty and slightly nutty taste with light notes of caramel and traces of chocolate; moderately dry and shy bitter hoppy finish with a subtle fruity touch. Likeable Dunkel (10.VI.09).

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Very zippy. Tastes malty and fresh, a little smoky. Very drinkable. Good beer!

Bottled - comes as Hofmann Dunkel. An amber beer with a thick light brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of caramel, as well as light hoppy notes. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, and the body is a bit thin. A bit boring.

(Bottle 50 cl) In my version simply called "Hofmann Dunkel". Clear, dark amber golden with a creamy, beige head leaving some lacework. Soft aroma of lightly roasted malt. Medium body with pleasant flavours of lightly sweet, roasted malt. Vague, caramelish accents. Dry - but not overly bitter - finish. 040307
