Panda thanks to Cloin. Opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, decent fine carbonation. Rich dark malts, a good dark chocolate vibe, not bitter thanks to an undertone of milk chocolate. Lovely port and wine vibes from the dual barrelling. Rich ripe red and black berries, mild spice, berry liqueur and it all goes superbly with the chocolatey malts.

Panda thanks to Cloin: Poured a pitch oily black with tan head that bubbled away fast. Aroma is rich roasted malts, coffee, port, chocolate, smoke, dark fruits. Taste is slick, roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, slick on the palate, port and booziness.

Can at home, from an online peddler, 05/04/24. Pitch black with a dirty tan head that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is dark malts, spice, port barrel, honeycomb, toffee fudge, coffee bean. Taste comprises chocolate, nutty tones, molasses, brown sugar melt, more port connotations, coffee bean, chocolate, vinous strains. Full bodied, oily mouthfeel, semi drying close with a balanced spike of alcohol. Solid well balanced and nuanced barrel aged impy.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 9 Aug 2023) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted, vinous nose with notes of espresso, dark chocolate, oak wood and a touch of port wine. Malty, roasted taste with espresso, dark chocolate, liquorice, port wine and a balanced coffee bitterness in a sweet and warming finish. Full body, sweet. Strong, sweet and powerful. Rich and tasty. Very nice.
