Some beers doughnut belong together, but ours do. Consider this can half of a ‘hole’, and a whole lotta dough. Blend Double Blueberry Vanilla Swirl together with Toasted Coconut Lemon Drizzle, to create the ultimate doughnut duo.

Keg @ House of Grain. Pours a hazed pink, off-white head. Just about hits on the combination it aims for.. blueberry but also red berry.. perhaps a little icing, but not vanilla.. no doughnut notes.. difficult one to balance these beers, usually Vault do it effortlessly but not this time.

440ml can. Poured a slightly hazy reddish amber colour with a short-lived, fizzy white head. The aroma is big blueberries, vanilla biscuit sugary crumble. The flavour is moderate sweet and sour, with a light, crisp, blueberry, vanilla lactose palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

Draught keg from the Rutland CAMRA Beer Festival, June 2023, Rutland County Museum, Oakham. Bluish purple and hazy with a massive slightly pinkish head. Sour sweets aroma, some berry, some lactic notes. Tastes quite tart with big sour berry hits and some underlying glazed pastry sweetness. Big body for the ABV with carbonation on the low side. All in all a good beer although the gimmick can only carry it so far.

On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - cloudy strawberry red. Foamy white head. Nose - yep, blueberry, pancake batter and creamy vanilla lurking. Taste - fresh blueberry and pancake batter lurking. More sour and less of the sweet vanilla. Palate - light to medium bodied, tangy and light tart as it goes from middle to finish. Overall - enjoyable.
