Our IPA is a traditional, old-fashioned IPA, evoking an age when the British colonial army in India drank beer instead of the local water. But the soldiers were not entirely satisfied. The beer tended to get sour while being shipped all the way from England. So they came up with the idea of adding extra hops to the beer. This helped it cope with the long voyage. This was the origin of the beer we know today as IPA. We love old brewing traditions. That is why we naturally brewed our IPA in the old-fashioned British way, adding lots of extra hops to the beer. We opted for American hops, which give our IPA a fruitier taste than English hops. The result is a traditional, sweet British ale with the fruity taste of American hops.

Our IPA has a lovely citrus-fruit aroma – predominantly grapefruit, which comes from the Cascade hops we use. There is also a distinctive malt aroma. It tastes sweet and full-bodied, with a distinct hoppy bitterness.

Bottle from Netto. Hazy amber, busy carbonation, off white cream. Light caramel sweet, pine, herb, citrus, lightly oxidized, light clayish grain. Pine aftertaste. Somewhere between a oldschool English and old school American IPA

50 cl bottle picked up at a Netto discounter poured in a Dimpled mug. Slightly hazy golden colour with a medium-sized white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, crackers, malty notes. The taste is light bitter. Medium body. Dry and bitter finish. Not the most sophisticated product, yet enjoyable.

bottle slightly hazy yellow, smooth soapy white head. Aroma is mainly hoppy-herbal bitter, very faint malty base. Although the aroma is quite subdued, it is quite similar to good english style ipa's. nice clean bitterness. flavor is flowery, tasteless-hoppy-bitter, fainter notes of hoppy bitterness, near perfect malty balance, very authentic english kind of ipa, a good traditional break from all the american stuff (even though i by a far stretch prefer amarican ipas). Being just mostly bitter and quite dry, i would personally enjoy this as an alternative to more traditional danish pilseners, as - as i see it - the dry and old fashioned hoppy-bitter flavors are very strong in this one. This beer clearly has a place in the danish beer-scene, an agressively brewed, yet elegant english style ipa is hard to find.
