This traditional lager is medium in body with a deep roasted character. Its dark color and rich malty flavor come from specially roasted caramel and chocolate malts. This brew is lightly hopped with Noble Bavarian hops for a soft spiciness and a smooth clean finish. Cheers!

0.33L bottle. Small quickly dissapearing head, dark brown almost opaque colour with some red streaks. Dominant aroma of stale dark sour bread with some malt and some vanila. Taste is very dry with just a little touch of sweetness, some notes of roasted coffee. The texture is a little thin and unpleasant. Aftertaste is quite short and unappealing..

Bottle. Pours very dark brown to black. Weird aroma that smells predominantly like fried rice. Smooth roasty taste balanced with caramel. Nice beer.

Dark brown, nearly black, with a solid creamy brown head. Nose is of caramel & roasted chocolate & coffee. The aroma is amazing & very promising. The taste and the rest of the experience is just as nice - smooth, soft & filling palate. Roasted coffee/chocolate malts - very mild - very drinkable. Brilliant at 4,9%!!!

Re-rate 2/12: Bottle sample at a Stouts & Porters blind tasting at Sar HaMashkaot Ramat Gan. Clear dark brown color with qa beige head. Aroma of green coffee beans, some roastiness and light fruity notes. Sourish-sweetish flavor with roastiness and some coffee, a bit vegetal. Medium-bodied. So-so. 6/3/5/3/11=2.8

Bottle, 4.9%. Roasted sweet liquorice aroma. Almost black colour. Small unstable brown head. The flavour is hard roasted with liquorice and a hint of sweetness. Reminds me of Köstritzer. Not bad.

Bottle: Poured a dark black/brown with an off white head. The aroma was sweet roasted caramel malt. The taste was very similiar sweet and roasted malt. Not as chalky as most dark beers of this type and very pleasant for a grocery market purchase.
