This traditional lager is medium in body with a deep roasted character. Its dark color and rich malty flavor come from specially roasted caramel and chocolate malts. This brew is lightly hopped with Noble Bavarian hops for a soft spiciness and a smooth clean finish. Cheers!

Pours dark brown with some caramel highlites. Small tan head. Sweet molasses, toasted malts, chocolate, anise, and caramel. Roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, caramel and molasses. Sorta thin body with plenty of carbonation. Easy to drink and pretty tasty, too.

Wow! Did I love this beer! It was very hard to find fault with this one. The roasted malts were sublime and somewhat akin to an imperial stout, but not as heavy, my idea of the perfect beer. The color is dark, but with a disappointing head. The flavor was smoky and robust. The lack of a pronounced hop flavor will disappoint the ale drinkers, but I liked it. The finish was short and sweet.

Bottle courtesy of Shp555: Poured a deep black color ale with a nice foamy head with some pretty good retention and lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with some chocolate notes is quite good. Taste is a nice mix between some chocolate malt and some roasted slightly bitter malt. Body is slightly above average with some medium to low carbonation. I thought this was nicely done and fits nicely into style without breaking any barrier.

Very, very dark brown colour and a nice tan head that looks pretty cool. Head goes down slowly. Malty and a little bitter. Little bit of the chocolate and smoky thing going for it. The taste is a little watery, but there ie enoguh flavour to negate any bad things.

Black with thin tan lasting head. Much lacing Light aroma of hops. Flavour of malt, a little roast. Smooth hoppy finish. Everything about this beer jelled. I can’t rave about it, but I’d drink it again if offered.
