Dark chestnut brown. Fruity (raisin, date), phenolic, light alcohol and background phenols in the aroma. Has a sweet character, like a date and orange-infused pekmez. Perfumey finish remains quite sweet. Good, if limited beer.

A dark brown ale with a thick light moka head, and huge floaties. Pleasant aroma of chocolate, soya sauce, and café moka. In mouth, a very nice roastiness, molasses, and plums, surprising. Medium bodied. BB 26-10-2006.

Bottle: Poured a dark brownalmost black with floating chunks. The head was a light brown head. The aroma and taste was liquoricish, but overall was watery and not impressive.
