From a 500ml bottle 0n 9/11/2010. Batch number 388. Brewed on 15/10/2008.Best before 15/10/2013. Pours dark orange, almost amber, and cloudy. Has an aroma of dark fruit, alcohol, some toffee, and a bit of basement like yeast. Flavours are caramel and fruit (apples) and a noticeable dash of alcohol. Moderately sweet with a firm bitterness. Has a sligthly oily texture. Quite a subtle Belgian ale. Decent but not remarkable.

50cl Bottle, birthday present. Slightly hazy reddish amber-brown colour, dense off white head. Aroma is a bit metallic at first, spicy, malty, some dried fruits. Flavour is sweet, malty, dried fruits, caramel, spices like cinnamon and some clove, light bitter finish, but mostly sweet. Medium bodied. Very nice, tasty beer.

500ml bottle, batch 388, bb: 15.10.2013, bought at Vinmonopolet just after Easter last year and cellared properly for about a year. The first pour reveals a deep and clear amber coloured body with a ruby shade, while the last pour is very hazy. Off-white head with good retention. Fragile glass-lacing. Smell of earth malts at first, complemented by hints of liquorice, caramel and herbal notes. Caramel malts, fruit acidity and subdued candy sweetness in flavour. Some yeasty dryness towards the ending. Well bodied with masked alcohol. A nice one, without being a high flier (at home watching inspector Dalgliesh on TV, Tromsø 03.04.2010).

500ml bottle from De Molen shop. Very hazy russet with thin beige head. Rather a nice yeasty sweet fruit aroma. Maybe a tiny bit of puke. Drinkable after I’d de-gassed it a bit. Bit of yeast, bit of puke, some decent red fruit flavour. A bit like a Belgian ale I guess. Good fruits. Nice yeast character. I like it but can’t say why.
