Bottle from MiP, thanks! Batch # 331. Orange brown color with a pinkish frothy head. Nice hoparoma with caramel, grapefruit and cinnamon. malty, hopbitter, grapefruity flavor with milk chocolate and caramel. Tasty, fresh aromatic and very well balanced beer.

50 cl bottle @ hotel room, Amsterdam. Rated on 18.07.2009
Aroma is quite hoppy with floral notes, some nettles and sweetish malt. Flavour is somewhat hoppy with nettles, sweetish malt, caramel, some toffee, floral notes, hints of fruits and ash. The strong hoppiness makes this feel a bit watery. Not the most typical Belgian strong but I like it!

Bottle (vintage 2008): Hazy, chestnut-amber coloured, sugary, malty and slightly alcoholic nose, distinctive hoppy background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour medium bodied, a bit tart; hops and toasted malt in the mainly sweet finish. Too sweet for me…

25/06/2011 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Bevuta al Nøgne Ø Beer Festival. Color arancia, intenso e lievemente torbido, buona schiuma biancastra poco persistente. Aroma intenso di malto caramellato, con lievi note speziate e luppolate. Sensazioni confermate in bocca, con in più una nota acidula nel finale. Corpo medio, carbonazione abbondante. Un po’ anonima e deludente. Tra le peggiori birre della serata.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet. A hazy orange colour with an off white head. Yeast and a bit sour in the nose, together with some fruity sweetness. Sweet and sour flavour. Tastes like it is not finnished. Light fruity and some caramel.

Color cloudy when pouring it in completely. Smell and taste very good, palate perfect. ABV suits the beer perfectly as well.

Hazy gold - brown beer. Palate slightly crisp and dry. Dry bitterish malt with an undertone of bitter orange. A little spice and mineral in the dry finish. A bit of a struggle!
