Bottle from a local Getränkemarkt. Dark brown, moderate head. Pretty mild nose, slightly malty. Nice biscuity mild roasted nutty notes, dark caramel. Very nice dunkel on the slightly sweeter side.

Die Optik zeigt sich klar und in einem kräftigem orangerot-bronze. Die cremefarbene, feinporige Schaumkrone ist sehr flaumig und hält außerordentlich gut. Die Duftaromatik ist sehr schön ausgestaltet. Süßlich malzig bis karamellig und röstig mit leicht würzig-holzigem Einschlag und einer dezent hintergründigen Herbe. Im Antrunk sehr mild, süßlich und karamellig bis röstig. Am Gaumen ebenso mild, süßlich, karamellig und leicht röstig mit einer holzigen Würze. Am ehesten kommen einem Brotkruste, Dörrobst und Kastanienschale in den Sinn. Eine sehr zarte, kaum wahrnehmbare Herbe rundet das Profil dieses Bieres ganz gut ab. Trinkspaß und Süffigkeit sind dabei durchaus gut, wenngleich nicht ganz top. Im Nachtrunk verfliegt die karamellige/röstige Malzaromatik relativ rasch, macht dann kurz Platz für fruchtige, beerige Noten, um dann in einer trockenen Hopfenherbe zu enden. Fazit: Zwar ist dieses Bier nicht das allerhöchste der Gefühle, jedoch absolut rund, ausgewogen und wirklich gut.

500ml bottle. Clear, dark brown colour with fantastic ruby shimmer and average, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Sweet-ish, dark malty aroma, hints of malt lozenge, minimally leafy and fruity, hoppy hints with a touch of red berries and corresponding shrubs, minimally doughy, yeasty overtones. Taste is miimally dry, toasty and sweet-ish, dark malty, hints of malt lozenge, a touch of rock sugar, caramel, leafy hoppy and minimally doughy, yeasty overtones. Watery texture, smooth and minimally dry palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Not much depth - OK.
