75 cl bottle @ Olutravintola Konttori. Rated on 05.03.2010
Aroma has yeasty notes, fruits and hints of banana esthers. Flavour is somewhat fruity with yeasty notes, some caramel and floral notes. An American saison without the farmhouse character and actually rather close to the Belgian ones. Refreshing and nice, way too much CO2 on palate though.

750 ml bottle shared by Del I think. Was it Mark? Anyway, at the Christmas tasting. Pours a clear golden color with a large white head. A sweet nose of caramel and floral hops. A bit of alcohol, fluffy, pepper, sweet light caramel and candies. Good. Very smooth and clean.

750 ml bottle. Deep, cloudy, glowing golden with a fine, thick head. Lovely. Spicy, mineral aroma, lemons, yeasty and fragrant. Flavor is creamy, fruity (lemons, white grapes), spicy, lot of yeast character, minerals, very dry, especially in the finish, with good bitterness as well. Restrained fruity sweetness. A bit too much alc9oholo showing in the finish. Resembles a Dupont more than any non-Belgian saison I have had. Wonderful.

Corked and caged 750. Pours a dingy and light gold with a pretty massive frothy head that slowly recedes and leaves the sides of the glass covered in a thick layer of white foam. Aromas are pretty pungent… lots of lemony fruitiness with a little farmyard and a light spiciness. I’m enticed, but first sip is pretty betraying. It has suddenly morphed into something nearly cloying… like Lemon Drop candy or over-sweetened lemonade. The mouthfeel is kind of sticky and it sits heavily on the palate. If I pay real close attention, I can pick up a little of that funk that came through so strongly in the nose, but for the most part this seems like a miss. Way to sweet and not nearly dry enough for my tastes.

Bottle thanks to Brooha. Pours cloudy yellow gold with white head. Nose of yeast, ripe fruits, basement funk and orange rind. Taste is the same with a nice lemon zest finish. Nice full mouth feel.

Bottle shared by Kyle, thanks! Poured a near clear cloudy orange with a fluffy white head that lasted. Aroma was full of spices with some cardamon and lots of floral and light fruit notes. Flavor was sweet with floral and fruit notes and lots of spice. The spices were a bit overwhelming.

750 c&c from Half Time. Pours dark hazy gold with a 4 finger foamy white head. Aromas of funky peach and citrus. Medium body with good carbonation. Flavor is funk and light stone fruit and barnyard. Finishes marvelous. With a little pepper.
