Bottle re-fermented and naturally gluten free, the ‘Original’ and first beer produced by Greens.
A medium-bodied amber ale with subtle caramel and nut flavour nuances. Refined, herbal hop aroma and finish.
Not the same as Green's Discovery Amber Ale nor it's AKA Green's Gluten Free Amber Ale https://brewver.com/beers/560740/Discovery-Amber-Ale

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours amber with a slight haze and an off-white head. Horrible skunky aroma with lots of phenols (?) for some reason all gluten free beers come out like this. Medium body, oxidized Sherry notes and a slight roast. Taste is better than the aroma - luckily. 230112

Skunk, light candi sugar, and apple aroma. Clear tea colored, thick light tan head, nice lacing. Stewed apple, lemongrass, and skunk flavor. Not something I would drink again, but if I had to drink only a limited number of gluten free beers, this would provide some welcome variety. Decent, regardless.

Sampled at DLD 2011.100th Rating for this beer. Little bit of a cherry smell to it. Cloudy brown with a thin ring of foam, but then, I’m pouring a taste from a warm bottle. Certainly does not have much malt, but there’s some brett taste. Still pretty nice and enjoyable.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a glass. Pours a clear dark amber that has reddish highlights and a small beige head. Taste is toasted malt, herbal, and a slight bitterness in the finish. Ok.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Tangy, sharp and fruity. Unusual beer. Refreshing. Some lambic qualities but more nettley!

Had this at the Pittsburgh Great European Beer Festival at the Sharp Edge Beer Emporium 6/2010. A brownish yellow clear ale. Smell is a little tart or sour and I like that. Some tartness in the flavor too. A mild beer that is not bad overall. Some CO2 but could use more. Goes down OK. I liked this brew. Good for a strong ale! You would never know this is 6%.

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Copper colour, small head. Dusty fruity nose. Only mid-sweet, yet sticky. Rather slim with notes of metal and lingonberry. Some vinous caramel, no bitterness. Rather strange.

500 mL bottle from Whole Foods Market Charlottesville, VA. Best before 05 JAU (?) 2012. Pours a dark hazy brown color with a moderate creamy tan head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma is tart, almost bretty with some malty brown sugar notes, berries and something a bit vegetal. Taste is tart cherries, brown sugar and other malty notes and a spicy finish. Medium bodied. Decent beer.
