Bottle. Ruby-brown beer with a light tan head. Spicy, piney, malty aroma. Rich malt flavor with spice, light cocoa, pine and grapefruit. Medium bodied. Nice aggressive balance. Pine and grapefruit lingers with malt, cocoa, and spice.

Pours deep amber into a trappist glass. Off-white head with good retention leaves little lacing. Cinnamon aromas. Syrupy malts upfront with a spicy finish.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Amber colour with a very small head. Hoppy, yeasty and sweet flavour. I don´t want to soun like a micro brew snob (which frankly I am) but I think this beer might have been good once but now I get the impression that it has been scaled up and gone mainstream. Olfabrikken are trying too hard to deliver what they no longer can.

Bottle. Redbrown colour. Short lasting head. Sweet caramel aroma, but also hints of bad yeast. Hoppy taste, but with no real depth. Watery beer.

Bottled. Deep coppery/ambery colour with mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is fruity hops with some spices and mild alcoholic notes. Flavour is also strong fruity and flowery hops along with some spices and mildly alcoholic notes. Mild notes of some sticky sweetness to once it gets warm. Not the most usual type of Xmas beer though...

Draught. Hazy dark red body with a medium off-white head. Aroma is malt, hops, spices with notes of citrus. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, fruity, bitter and spicy. A bit like a spicy version of an IPA with references to a winter warmer. Nice and balanced.
