Bomber. Aroma is toasted coconut, dark bread, molasses, licorice, menthol. Pours very dark brown to black with a collapsing beige head. Taste is lightly bittersweet with flavors of toasted coconut and light barrel influence. Holds up pretty well for a three year old beer with adjuncts.

Bomber, 2022 vintage. Toasted coconut aroma with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, bourbon and oak. Pours deep brown colored with a thin mocha brown head that has little retention and decent lacing. Starts with rich roasted malt, chocolate and vanilla flavors as well as having a rich, full body and silky smooth mouthfeel. Finishes impeccably smooth with toasted coconut, bourbon and oak flavors. Very nice stout that highlights the coconut well.

2022 bottle drunk 9/1/23. Dark. Small, tan head slowly to ring. Nose is light hints of coconut, nicely not overdone. Typical chocolate/cacao-coffee with easygoing whiskey and light vanilla. No booze, lots of chocolate, light caramel. It's soft, rich, on the sweeter side though certainly not problematically so. Rich chocolate and moderate coffee. Low coconut, mostly appearing as fruitiness on the finish. Heavy on the cacao and with sweet chocolate throughout. Nowhere near as sweet and sluggish as the Breakfast version, but still a little less elegant than any other version I've had. Just not quite as dry and bourbon-redolent as any of the others. The whiskey in the 2022 versions has been very, very minimal.

Pours a black body and a stiff light brown head with eternal retention. Aroma's: roasted, coffee grind, dark chocolate, a hint of coconut. Retronasal it's sweetish, red fruit, chocolate, light coconut, roasted. Flavor is moderate sweet, moderate roasted bitter. Very low carbonation. Medium bodied. Long finish, with lots of roasted malt anddarkchocolate, moderate bitter.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out lots of toasted coconut upfront, with coffee further back, a little cocoa, and whiskey barrels. Flavour brings out the coconut upfront, with a nice integration of coffee, cocoa and whiskey barrel further back. The coconut is not monolithic, but rather showcases upfront amidst the other beautiful elements. Excellent as usual from this series.

Draft at Hops & Bottles. Dark brown pour, ring of beige bubbles. Aroma is cocoa, light coconut. Taste also leads with the cocoa, sweet, roasty malts, coffee and coconut just minor notes. A bit of booziness creeps in at the end.
