Ever since the folks at Boerenerf first began experimenting with quince, they found the intense flavours and aroma to be very complementary to lambic.
The fruit is pressed and spontaneously fermented in lambic barrels.
This aromatic blend is beautiful in its complex and intense character. A unique experience.
Fermented, aged & bottled on the farm.

Quince! It’s all over this beer, obviously. Clear golden with a fizzy white head. A bit sour, some barnyard, old dry wood, fruit, sparkly citrus. Finish has nice acidity without overpowering. No slouching here- lovely.

Bottle shared. Clear golden with big white head. White pepper, funk, massive quince, wheat, light pear, bread crust. Very aromatic floral quince. Medium sour, less sweet and bitter. Solid medium bodied with sparkly carbonation. Very good!

Pours fairly clear blonde, small white head. Scent is full-on quince, mild lambic beneath. Taste is full, intense quinbce. Bitter and sweet fruityness over a tart , dry and acidic back. Very balanced ( though heavy on the fruit) , juicy and characterfull. Quite nice, but for sure you'll have to love quince to appreciate this one...

As Kwee Lambiek Oogst 2022 Small white head, rather stable, over hazy pale yellow beer. Spicy nose, middle East spices, and indeed quince, upon classical lambic yeast notes. Leafy, floral. Sharpish, light acidic flavour, again floral, if less. Applejuice with all the sugars extracted. Lactic acid. Acidburn and -thinning. Very good carbonation. Long lasting flavours. Good fruitlambic, in my memory better than last years' batch.
