Originally brewed exclusively for the bar at our home at Summerhall, a feeble stone's throw from the brewery. Hopped with Pilgrim, Saaz and Tettnang for that crisp, refreshing bite you want from a Pilsner and lagered for longer to allow the flavours to develop - we think Stone's Throw is the perfect fridge-filler.

440ml can. Almost clear golden with a huge white head. Aroma of bready malts, overripe citrus. Taste of bready malts with a fairly sweet overripe citrusy tang, some grass and grains. Light-medium bodied. Bit too sweet for my liking, but ok.

Can thanks to Laurie. Appearance - golden and clear. White head. Nose - grassy and bready. Some hint of citrus. Taste - lemon, grassy and bready. Palate - light bodied, dry and lightly bitter finish. Overall - decent example of the style.

330ml can from Cork & Cask. Gluten Free. Pale golden colour, bubbly white foam leaving alittle lacing and aroma of malt, grass, citric. Taste is sweet, malty, grains, tangy, citric, with some hay and grassy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Can at home - picked up from Cork & Cask. Points clear gold with a fluffy, white head. Lightly sweet with notes of biscuity pale mats, subtly bitter straw, white bread, slight bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Decent balance in the finish, more clean biscuity character, mild bitter straw. Tasty, clean gear.

330ml can from the brewery. Poured a hazy golden colour with a big frothy white head. The aroma is malt, lager yeast, gluey, mineral, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, grainy, light citrus, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Keg at The Royal Dick. Clear golden body with a thin white head that holds well. Steady carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of grain and raw potato. Flavour of soft malts and cracker. Thin to medium body with a smooth texture. Light fizz. A simple, well rounded Lager with a great mouthfeel.
