An unclear light yellow beer with a fast collapsing huge milky white head. The aroma is very wheaty with slight citrus and apple notes. The flavor is wheaty combined with lemon giving it a slight sour background. The end is dry wheaty - due to the high carbonantion the flavor vanishes extremely fast from the mouth.

(Bottle 33 cl) 3,7% ABV in my version. Very pale golden, almost greyish, with a sediment. Very bubbly head that vanishes in no time - it’s more like what you find in a sodapop. Very, tart - almost like lemon juice. No real pleasure to drink Berliner Weisse in it’s pure form (or any other form for that matter...) 070605

Bottle Looks like grapefruit juice witha low foamy head. Tart citric and lactic aroma. Light on the palate, citric notes in the front of the mouth, lactic sit comfortable in in the back. Slight wooden and hayish notes. Sourdough bread. Has a elegant simplicity to it - like so many wellbrewed german beers. A big thanks to Dortmunder for providing this one for me.

(bottle) Pale & cloudy yellow colour with medium fizzy white diminishing head. The aroma is wheaty with citrus fruits. Initially very sour, it soon has a dry lemon taste almost lasting and thirst quenching. I would never drink it with syrup. With its low ABV it is perfect for hot summer days. If there was no “Reinheitsgebot”, which is rather a burden for german beers, it could also be a german Witbeer.

Hazy, pale blond color; frothy big head. Aggressive aroma (the carbonation), some sourness, vinous, a bit fruity, very complex. Dry mouthfeel, with a very nice sour note, a bit vinegary and astringent, very similar to the Lambics; persistent but more delicate in the palate.
Very pleasant! Thanks Philippe (Bov), this is very good!

OHNE SCHUSS Light white head, gone in a few seconds to white rim; very light, nearly watery pale yellow, fully hazy beer. Superb complex lambic-y nose, lemony, Bretty, lemon peel. Delightfully sour, really lemon-like taste, citroenkwast. Outspoken dry-out effect, light bodied (of course! but you’ld be hard pressed to guess only 3.3.%), texture is typical for a wheat beer. Berliner Weisse. THE beer for a realy hot lunchtime in the sun. One of the world’s most underestimated styles. But, wht do you expect if the Berliners add bleedin’ Waldmeister syrup.

Bottle - yeasty apple vinegar aroma. Cloudy yellow color - looks like lemonade. Tart/sour flavor - like drinking unsweetened lemonade. Moderate body. Typical Berliner Weisse - if you like tart it’s a good choice.

Bottled. Very pale yellow, no head. Citric acid nose. Light bodied with fruity, rubbery, vital mouthfeel. Sour, but very refreshing. Does have a lot of similarities to Döllnitzer Ritterguts Gose.

Pale yellow, hazy colour. Huge head that disappears quickly. Aroma of lime and apples. Very acidic flavor of lemon-zest and apple-juice. Very refreshing.
