A refreshing example of an India Pale Ale from the master brewers at Belhaven. The blend of Cascade and Challenger hops combine to produce an abundance of fresh hop aroma that preludes a bitter-dry taste explosion. Crafted from nearly three centuries of brewing heritage at Scotland’s oldest independent brewery, this ale from Belhaven will have your taste buds tingling.

Draught from shoolbreds. Poured a transparent gold. Hops and such but a bit creamy. Good stuff.

Bottle. Golden color with a surprising small head for an IPA. Aroma is skunky, with a touch of citrus. Taste is rather bland for an IPA. Too skunky in taste.

this was a great IPA. this is a good example that american IPA’s dont have to be uber hoppy to be hoppy and flavourful. great hoppy nose, but its not insanely bitter. a really refreshing beer, very well made, one of my favorites.

Draught @ Dive 106 (1/28/20). Faintly cloudy golden with very small frothy whitish head, faint grassy flavor, high carbonation, medium bitter light caramel taste with piney hops, smooth body, longish finish. Enjoyable.

Orange color. Grapefruit and earthy hops in the aroma. Earthy hopbitter flavor with grapefruit and red berries. Cascade hops, definitely. Grapefruit also in the long earthy, leathery aftertaste with a dry out effect. Hint of plastic. Well made.

Purchased at Wilbur's Liquors in Ft Collins for US$2.99
This pours from 500ML bottle a hazy orange-gold with a large head of foam that slowly shrinks to a fine broken layer and there's plenty of lacing.
The smell has a strong nose of sweet malt and hops. I also get some fruit.
The taste on first sip follows the nose. Lots of malt, though the sweetness is subdued compared to the smell, followed by a generous amount of hop flavour that is mostly bittering and only slightly citric. It's a pretty different approach to an IPA than I'm used to but I think it works nicely. At least, my palate isn't complaining...I notice that at various times during the session, sometimes the malt dominates, sometimes the hops do and that keeps me interested and makes me want to keep on sipping. I really like this Scottish IPA and I'm sure I'll be picking up some more. The finish is pretty dry and crisp. Man, at about $3 a bottle, this is one heck of a bargain too. My hat's off to Belhaven!!

Tap at an English pub with fish and chips. Light copper pour nose is Brady and floral. Tastes flora, of shortbread, light caramels, and hops. Smooth palate. Tasty enough

Clear golden, small offwhite head. Malty aroma, light notes of citrus. Flavour is malty with grapefruit and a herbal note. Some caramel perhaps and slightly rough, not entirely well balanced bitterness.
