A World Cup Of Beers#12. INDIA. An international brew with the football, although in this case only historically. This lighter golden coloured brew is nothing special in terms of the lager part, it's quite low in flavour in reality, but the double-fermenting does add a textural edge to proceedings and there's body here. Drank whilst watching the Dutch demolish the Swedes on a Saturday evening - Netherlands vs Sweden.

Bottle, 75cl corked. Sweet, fruity and quite dry. Decently bitter. A bit unusual, but far from bad. 646412 251231

0.75 l bottle shared with Marko and Ogi. Thanks! Unclear golden, small off-white head. Light grainy aroma, sweet malty aroma, sugary, some corn. Fruity touch, unclean, a bit phenolic in the finish, rough. A medicinal touch. A bit bland. Sweet.

Bottle from the African store on Savska, Zagreb. Hazy golden body, white head. Soft, oily soft aroma, slightly adjuncty, fruity, but passable. Soft taste, grainy, adjuncty, vague fruity-citric note, rice, prickly carbonation. Bitterish finish. Okay enough.

75cl bottle @ Cafe Safron, Shrewsbury with the TMBB crew whilst waiting two hours for a curry. Pours clear gold, nice effervescence. Taste presents a nicely sparkling, clean refined lager character, really quite a lot more malt sweetness compared to draft, firm bitterness, nicely rounded. Decent.
