Rogue's first ever barrel-aged sour ale made from a wild yeast strain from the open air of the Yaquina Bay. We cultivated the strain, along with 5 common varieties in 16 barrels, selecting and blending the best of them to form our house mixed culture. Côtes du Rogue, a sour blonde, is tart, with hints of oak, lemon, vanilla and apricot.

Bottle from Liquor Barn in Redding, CA. Pours orange tinged gold with a transient white head. Aroma is lightly acetic. Near medium body. Flavor is somewhat tart and lightly citrus. Quite dry. Very drinkable.

I mean, it’s a sour blonde ale. A well-made sour blonde, mind you, but there’s so little variation between beers within this style. Tar berry and citric acid sourness, mild sweet streak underneath, and lingering citrus tang on the finish. Good, but if you’ve tried one you’ve tried them all.

Bottled 500ml. -at Goblet Zagreb, shared with Marko. Unclear golden coloured, minimal white head, sourish fruity yeasty nose. Sourish taste; mild citrusy, yeasty, touch of vinegar and weak peach with sourish finish.

Bottle at Goblet with Ogi and Mr. Živković. Hazy orange-golden body, some head. Soft, citric, orange notes, sourish notes, wild touches. Lean, soft tart taste, citrusy, white vinegar (?!), funk, Quite okay. I was at the end of my strength though, so not many notes were made.
