Plaisant.

Strong amber commissioned by Arelbières in Arlon, with thick, creamy, off-white, sticky head and bright copper colour. Spicy and fruity aroma of honey, apricot, pepper, aniseed, ginger, citrus peel, whisky, flowery hops. Sourish onset, then turning sweetish, light citrus, caramelly maltiness, spicy notes, finishing mildly flowery hoppy with warming alcohol, but the spices - typically overused as this brewery so often does - also generate a drying effect. Nonetheless quite an agreeable brew.

(Bottle, Chez Moeder Lambic Saint-Gilles, Brussels, 25 Oct 2013) Dark amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of caramel, dried fruit and spicy hops. Malty, fruity taste with orange peel, crisp-bread, caramel and a balanced spicy bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Quite tasty and well made. Nice one.
