La Cuvée Ermesinde est une bière ambrée d’environ 19° Plato, titrant 7,5 % alc.vol. Trois variétés de malt, deux types de houblon ainsi qu’une céréale et du miel du pays la composent. Trois épices dont deux exotiques viennent renforcer sa personnalité. Entièrement naturelle, elle est dépourvue de tout additif chimique.

Simplicité mais élégance sont au programme de cette cuvée Ermesinde, ambrée au miel du pays de Marlon brassée par Saint-Monon. Dégustation agréable donc pour une ambrée pas tonitruante, mais subtile et sur un bon équilibre malt/houblon et sans trop forcer sur le miel comme cela peut être le cas sur d'autres bières au miel. Joli visuel sur un ambré parfaitement limpide parcouru par de fines bulles et recouvert par une mousse beige recouvrant la surface. Le nez est discret mais appréciable sur le miel, l'abricot et le caramel. L'attaque est à la fois bien équilibrée, raffinée et subtile sur le caramel, l'abricot, le gingembre et le miel. La deuxième bouche voit des arômes de poivre et de pomme apparaître. L'arrière-bouche sur une bonne ampleur, voit l'alcool de 7,5 % s'affirmer quelque peu pour donner un peu de tempérament à l'ensemble. Le final, d'une longueur appréciable et quant à lui tranquille sur le miel et le caramel. Plaisant.

Amber orange color. Lemon, mandarin and some hops in the aroma. Hoppy flavor with lemon, coreander, pepper. malty. Hints of cinnamon. Hopbitter, citric, peppery aftertaste. Very tasty beer.

Hazy golden pour, small white head. Big aroma of tropical fruit, yeast, and some subtle spices.

Strong amber commissioned by Arelbières in Arlon, with thick, creamy, off-white, sticky head and bright copper colour. Spicy and fruity aroma of honey, apricot, pepper, aniseed, ginger, citrus peel, whisky, flowery hops. Sourish onset, then turning sweetish, light citrus, caramelly maltiness, spicy notes, finishing mildly flowery hoppy with warming alcohol, but the spices - typically overused as this brewery so often does - also generate a drying effect. Nonetheless quite an agreeable brew.

Bottle, Arlon. Nice orange colour, white foam. Medium carbonation. Well balanced beer with aroma of banana, peach and honey with spicy aftertaste. Very good.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig süß, fruchtig, würzig. Geschmack röstmalzig, hefig, fruchtig, dunkle reife Früchte, Karamell.

(Bottle, Chez Moeder Lambic Saint-Gilles, Brussels, 25 Oct 2013) Dark amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of caramel, dried fruit and spicy hops. Malty, fruity taste with orange peel, crisp-bread, caramel and a balanced spicy bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Quite tasty and well made. Nice one.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with yeasty hints. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel finish.
