The beer was moved onto Pinot Meunier grape pomace in tank. It remained there for 2 months with punch-downs performed for the initial stages of refermentation. We then blended in a portion of beer which had refermented on Guinevere plums from East Sussex. This plum beer had been in barrel for a year prior. The beer was left to homogenise before further blending and bottling.

Bottle shared at CBJ - cheers to Fergus! Pours lightly musty red-gold with a small, foamy white head. Light sweet flavour with modest acidity, toasted wood, tart berries. Light bodied with average carbonation. Dry finish, decent tartness, some aged wood, more berries. Not bad.

Bottleshare at Craft Beer Junction. Thanks to Fergus for the bottle. Almost clear amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Tart and slightly acidic orchard fruits. Flinty fruity tartness on the finish. Tidy.

Small bottle from Beer HQ, St Albans. Aroma combines a vinous streak with herbs and fruit. Clear ruby red. Thin translucent white head soon fizzles out. Medium sour. Sharp berries but there's also a fruitiness. Vinous dryness. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Fruity sourness.

375ml bottle from Sophie's Beer Store. Reddish amber appearance, small white topping. Has a nice soft plumminess with light grape nuances. Perhaps more of an oak depth would be welcome, sourness seems slightly subdued but otherwise very good.

Rusty orange colour with a light haze and quick fading head. Aroma has subtly tart red fruit. Flavour has a fair amount of vanilla, from the oak I guess. It serves to temper the sharpness, perhaps too much. However there's loads of layered fruit elements. Sweet, sour and also some bitter tannin.
