Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Funky cheesy aroma with fruity notes, lactic acid, soft grain, lemon. Puckering sour taste, dry finish, medium body. Good.

Small whitish rim over metallic orange-golden beer, not very carbonated. Sherry, peach in the nose, mild lactic acid. Again peach. Almost seems peach lambic. And strangely, not much else. Faraway milkripe wheat, almost sweetish. Acidthinning, some -burn, and bit wheatslick. Thinner - not only of body but also of flavour. Misses some complexity for a true Oude Geuze. Txs to Stef!

Clear golden colour with quick fading head. Quite tart and lemony at first. Soft woodiness. Good but not super complex.

Monday 5th August 2024, the last Minutemat led Shrewsbury Beer Gathering, five guys, loads of beer and bollox. Cheers Mat for the cork and caged 375ml bottle of this. Light mist within the golden pour, weak white twirl for a head. Tart with a lemon lead, some farmyard filth on an oak branch within the sourness, interesting!

375ml bottle @ final beer tasting, Chez Sophie, Aug 24. Misty gold appearance, small white head. Fruity introduction on the nose, some wild cheese. Flavour profile presents sweet, overripe juicy fruit, fresh, tart feel, light woody nuances, low carb, nicely presented but could do with a bit more punch.
