Poured into a stange and a tulip, the appearance was basically the same in both other than a longer lasting head in the stange. Foamy yet fizzy, no lacing. Continuing on in the Berliner Weisse tradition, this was definitely a Berliner Weisse.
The aroma started off with sour-ed wheat, some lemon rind - semi-acidic with a subtle bitterness. Pineapple is there, but fairly far underneath.
The flavor leans to the sour-ed wheat first. And then the acidity shows a decent effort to grip, but let’s up with the sweet pineapple. No aftertaste. Quick dry semi-sour finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. Good level of acidity in the feel without it becoming overly done. Pineapple smooth semi-sweetness helps to cut very nicely.
Overall, Berliner Weisse, yes! Extra for creativity with the pineapple. I would love to have this again, preferably in the Summer.

Taster at the source pours hazy lemon with a nice white head. Aromas of pineapple lactose and slur wheat. Taste is super tart pineapple grain biscuit and honey. Slightly thin mouthfeel. Yearns for more body.

4 oz at the source. Crystal clear pale yellow, no head ot retention. Aroma is big pineapple, lactic acid, sour wheat.

The texture is a bit gritty from grain. The pineapple is here without question bit it also has a soild amount of lactic acid. Not really my thing on this. I don’t want acid reflex after I finish a beer, this does not do it to me.

Draught at Lulu’s 11/18/16.
Light to minimal haze in this pineapple flesh-colored beer with a small, white head atop showing moderate retention for the style.
Pineapple is dry and lightly acidic in the nose; definitely not a juice bomb here and the lactic acid and biscuity, dry, lightly grainy wheat and malt keep it rather austere. Light citrus and hints of honey, with more enjoyable pineapple lingering. Not overdone anywhere and were it 3-4%, I’d applaud this thing as perfectly executed. At 5.6% abv, however, I can’t help but want a bit more malt and pineapple character.
In the mouth it’s very dry, lightly grainy and fairly lactic, though the softness of the wheat and the very light juiciness of the pineapple do enough to keep it interesting and somewhat balanced. It’s just a little too lactic and dry for my liking, though I love that it’s not full of syrupy, fake, dominant pineapple. So I can respect erring on the side of dry and not overly fruity, but again, just a bit more pineapple juice-like character might help this one out. Moderate carbonation, engaging, with no alcohol or flaw.
