Draught at Lone Star (Inman), 1/11/17.
Minimally hazy, bright golden-brass body is well-carbonated and topped by a strong, white head.
Lovely, clean, spicy and bright hops in the nose are backed by a touch of honey and just a pinch of biscuity malts. Lots of minerals in the nose, just like Beer of the Gods and with no resin, alcohol or flaws. Kumquat, freshly cut grass, lemon and black pepper all remind greatly of High and Mighty.
In the mouth, it’s dry, yet supported by tight, appropriate carbonation and a malty texture adding honey, very light white bread and biscuits. Crisp, peppery and spicy, the hops dazzle and refresh, as the crisp, lightly-to-moderately bitter finish constantly begs another sip. To be honest, I liked this A LOT more than Beer of the Gods. This is more like their XPA in its lighter, less malt-influenced flavors and textures. Miss High and Mighty. Hope Will’s doin’ well!

Draft. I love seeing an obscure German style on tap! Clear golden color. Aroma is yeast and earth.
Taste is decent, earthy hops, malt, the yeast is masked quite a bit, the flavor is quick but it ends clean. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, crisp carbonation, some hops fall off quick in the end. But has a earthy character that lingers just slightly adter the sip. Overall, this is super easy to drink.
