Geruch hopfig, grasig. Geschmack herb, grasig, minimal würzig.

Drank this many times over a number of years, normally in the same bar, here on the Mosel: this is a few words from a beer today (21st Sep 2013). Sat watching the world go by on a sunny afternoon in Cochem Cond: 04 litre glass of Pilsner ’Vom Fass’. Looks as good and inviting as any German Pilsner in it’s correct glass: bright, clean and clear, on top a full and lasting head of pure white foam. Not a lot of aroma: in fact the usual score of 3 I give a non-smelling Pilsner/Lager. Taste wise it scores better: Mild malt front with a good solid hop centre and finish, crisp and sharp feel to the mouth. Could easily have drank a load more, but a wine session was on the cards, so had to move on.

Bottle, 4.8%. Clear pale yellow colour. Good stable white head. Good bready flavour. There is a rough bitterness in the finish, but it is not unpleasant at all. A bit citric, but not bad.

Bottle @ Zentraleuropäischer Wahnsinn 2. Pours clear palemstraw with airy white head. Dusty and sourish aroma with notes of hops and yeast. Sourish flavour with bitter, hoppy notes and a good deal of yeast. Bitter and earthy aftertaste. Off? Needs re-rating.
