A deep dark brown Dunkel with a thick moka head. Nice caramel and dark fruits in aroma, with light licorice. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate with roasted malts, a bit of prunes, light hoppyness remains, molasses and licorice. Medium bodied. Kept well. BB 12-05-08.

Bottle. Very dark brown, maybe even black, with a big beige head that diminishes slowly. Aroma has quite a lot of toasted bread and caramel, nutty notes and slight roastiness with coffee hints. Sweet flavor, big on malts, with caramel, dark bread, faint fruity notes and a semi-dry finish with a bit of alcohol and light herbal hoppiness. Medium to full-bodied with a slightly oily mouthfeel. A really good Dunkler Bock.

Bottle, 7.1%. Weak roasted bread aroma. Nice clear very dark brown colour. The flavour is bready and roasted, slightly vinous. Slightly sweet also, but well-balanced. Hint of soy.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and amber to dark brown with a creamy light brown head. Mild roasted and fruity aroma. Dark fruity and roasted malt flavour, much like dark bread. Light spiced too. Ends with a mild bitterness along the dark flavours.

The bottle looks really good and the beer in the glass also. Deeply black. Very malty aroma. Tastes very strong, not too alcoholic. A little bit like coffee. Very good beer.

Bottle, thanks to EithCubes for sending it. Red chestnut, huge foamy brown head. Caramelly aroma with a hint of nuts, raisins and roast. Dry malt base - well-attenuated, sugary notes without the stickyness, burned, a hint chocolate slightly flat feeling to it. Herbal finish. Easy drinkable - very refreshing Bock.

8/10/9/10/9/9

Bottle (courtesy of EithCubes!) Very dark amber coloured, small lacing off-white head; sweet malt, dark malt, raisins and a tinge of roasted malt in the aroma with a small metallic tinge;sweetish-bitter flavour, a bi oily; warming, fruity-sweet finish, becoming drier towards the end. Well quaffable Bock, could be a bit more hoppier.............
