Bottled. A dark red beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of rotten fruits, straw, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of wet hay, rotten fruits, and caramel, leading to dry finish.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Comes as "Erie Brewing Ol Red Cease & Desist Wee Heavy Ale". Pours amber with a slight haze with an off-white head. Sweet and slightly perfumy caramellish aroma. Rich body, caramel and biscuit, again a little perfume and a warming alcohol finish. A malt lovers dream. 190412

Clear red brown beer. Soft palate. Rich malt with a distinct and pleasing bitter cream flavour. A hint of hop fruit and a splach of alcohol spice at the end. Very nicely joined up beer.

This ale poured a cloudy, dark orange colour with a quick living, light tan coloured head. To the nose there are scents of ripe fruit, pie crust, dough, apples, sweet malt and rum. First sip was slightly thick with an almost oily mouthfeel. Flavours of ripe fruit, rum, apple cider and caramel. Finish is sweet and malty with the flavours of light smoke and ripe fruit lasting...

Bottle thanks to Jcwattsrugger. Pours clear red. Nose of cranberry, hops and brown sugar. Taste of mostly candi sugar, some brown sugar and light hops. Light body for the ABV. Hides the alcohol well, but that’s about it.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite - Jersey City, 10/17/10
Aroma: The nose is sweet and malty, it has some caramel, toffee, and a bit of fruit
Appearance: This beer pours a mahogany color with a small beige head
Flavor: The taste is also rather sweet, with caramel, earth, and a little fruit
Palate: The body is medium, its a touch syrupy, and has minimal burn from the ABV
Overall Impression: This is a decent beer, a little on the sweet side, but not bad. It is kind of sugary and sweet for the style. I expected more burn on this one. It isn't one of the better beers I've ever tried, but for a sweet, malt forward, Scotch Ale, it definitely has some decent qualities to it.

Bottle. Pours a rich mahogony with a foamy, tan head. Strong malt aroma with tons of toffee and ripe fruit. Has a barley wine-esque sweetness to it, quite intense, with bread, caramel, more toffee and plum, along with some light, earthy bitterness. Medium to full in body with soft carbonation and a creamy texture. Some brown sugar is also in the flavor, coming out later. Finishes very sweet with lightly toasted malts and toffee. Delicious beer.
