We brew our Hachenburger pilsener with 100% aroma-hops. This is truly extraordinary – hardly anyone else in Germany does so. But this is what gives Hachenburger its unique flavour: It makes our pilsner more tangy, with a fuller aroma and character. This is no beer made in bulk – it’s our Hachenburger pilsner speciality.

0.3 litre on tap in Foersters Feine Bier on 13th October 2021. Clear, clean golden pour, white head. Pretty hoppy aroma and taste wise, dry and semi-bitter in nature. A decent Pils from a new brewery to me.

Certainly one of the most bitter hoppy versions of a German pills i’ve had. The flavour is perhaps a bit dominated by something off. Slightly oxidized. Bottle from Martin home

Swing top bottle. Hay-like aroma with a hint of apple. Hopbitter flavor with hay and again, a hint of apple. Just below medium bodied. Somewhat sharp bitter aftertaste. Hint of cardboard.

“Hachenburger Pils“, Flasche (50 cl) von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin. - Tiefes Goldgelb, klar. - In der Nase leicht kräuteriger Hopfen. - Antrunk mild hellmalzig mit aromatischer aber blasser Hopfennote, leicht kräuterig, Anklänge an Eukalyptus. Zartes helles Malz mit gut abgestimmter Säure. Milder rezent, fast dünn. Mild herber, etwas eintöniger Abgang. - Angenehmes, leicht süddeutsch angehauchtes Pilsner.
