2022 bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a thick, pitch black with a finger of brown head that dissipates. Dark chocolate, oak, peppery rye, maple and bourbon aromas all present. More of the same on the palate with rich, dark chocolate, peppery rye, oak and warming bourbon. Drying finish. Maple is there, but not overly sweet. Just a great BA imperial stout.

Bottle split at the last minute CBJ Tasting (big thanks Marcin for hosting), cheers to Dave for this one, 13/07/23. Black with a tan head. Nose is chocolate, dark malts, mellow barrel, dried fruits, molasses. Taste comprises dark chocolate, spice, bourbon barrel, subtle enough maple, toffee fudge, dried fruit rinds, brown sugar coating. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced boost. Decent kit.

Not the L6 bottleshare. Thanks to Wingman. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, soft, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts. Rich dark chocolate. Good bourbon barrel ripe fruits. Mild spice on the airy finish. Good stuff but nothing about this brew sets it apart from anything else we have had this evening. .

Bottle sample at a Yana's tasting at Stas' place. Black. Lots of chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, nuts, caramel, maple, sweet, some alcohol, full-bodied. A bit too boozy but still really good.

On tap at Beer Temple, pours jet black with a tiny head. Nose is massive, with complex bourbon barrels, a touch of maple, and some booze. Flavour is extremely rich, with big bourbon barrel, light-to-moderate maple presence, dark sugars and a touch of roast to hold it together. The 14.5% is kept in check quite well. It's big, nearly brutal, but complex and rounded. Excellent.
