Hazy brown. Minimal beige head. Wood, whiskey smoked, chocolate, spicy, medium-very sweet, alcohol, malt, caramel. Full body. Sticky texture. Warm, spicy finish.

Bottle. Brown, brief beige head. Singed, maybe slightly smoky toffee aroma with whiskey, plums. Almost syrupy, almost flat. Whiskey and bitterness at the end make it feel lighter (and less sweet) than it probably is. Dried fruit and singed toffee. Whiskey and barrel = peppery and almonds. Not particularly complex but that's OK - good flavours and balance are enough.

Dark amber colour, small beige head. Toffeish, a bit of whiskey tuned alcohol in the nose. Full-bodied. Toffee and alcohol in the flavour. Whiskey is clearly there. Simplish, ok.

--Bottled at PBF XIV-- Dark brown, small head. Aroma of dates, caramel and whisky. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Very caramelly where only the alcohol and the whisky barrel provides other dimensions. Intense warming finish.

33cl bottle, red wax. PBF XIV. BBE 27.06.27 Poured brown in color, not much head. Sticky sweet soaked raisins and figs. Whisky and wood with boozy finish.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 27.06.2027) im 2024-06 getrunken. Dieses rotbraune Barley Wine mit seinen Aromen von leichten Toffee, Sauerteig, Trockengrüchten und malzigen Körper erinnert klar an ein Bommen & Granaten BA Bourbon. Es ist wunderbar durchgereift und der Alkohol ist perfekt eingebunden so wie ich es mag.
