Brewed by Hijos de Rivera’s Brewmasters in the only Company’s brewery placed in A Coruña. It is one of the longest-matured Spanish lagers.

For a macrobrewery, it is a decent product: really malty/bready, sweet, side of sugar delightful brown/copper body, 14.06.2017, in Geneva, in one Portuguese restaurant after to be in the Spanish embassy.

Draft pours clear amber with thick head that slowly dissipates to a thin lace of foam. Nicely balanced, enjoyable.

0.33 l bottle from Marbeilla, shared with my dad. Amber color, thin but long lasting white head. Malts dominated aroma and taste with a sweet overtune. Medium finish, and heavier body than expected. Decent brew.

[as 1906 La MilnueveI] Il gusto al naso propende per il metallico. La finezza olfattiva è leggera, permanendo in maniera corta. Il cappello di schiuma ha una scarsa tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido è di consistenza limpida. Il colore è ambrato scarico. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è di media potenza. La forza gustativa è normale e si prolunga in modo sufficiente. Il retrogusto è di media intensità. Il tetto della bocca porta note di miele, mais, frutta secca e agrumi.

February 2014: 330 ml slimline can, as 1906 Año Reserva Especial, produced in Spain for Hijos de Rivera. www.club1906.es . ABV is 6.5%. Ingredients include maize. Golden (nearly deep golden) colour, moderate white head. Fairly decent aroma of grassy hops. The flavour is "dusty", bland and boring, but not offensive.
