Steendonk Brabants Witbier van Duvel Moortgat NV en Palm Breweries. Dit bier is een 50/50 joint venture tussen deze brouwerijen in 1989 en het verkreeg zijn naam door een samentrekking van beide gemeentes waar de brouwerijen liggen.
Dit speciaalbier is van het type ‘Witbier’ en heeft een alcoholpercentage van 4,5% vol. Dit licht gehopte troebel bier is typisch een Belgisch witbier met tarwe, koriander en curaçaoschil. De smaak en de aroma worden verder verfijnd dankzij een procédé van dubbele gisting.

25 cL bottle. Pours pale and hazy yellow with a lacing white head. Vague wheat aroma. Flavour is dry, light wheaty with a light fruit note. Coriander spiced. Mild yeasty. Lingering wheat finish with a slight watery touch.

(25 cl bottle at 3 Små Rum, Göteborg) Labeled 4.8% ABV. Shady orange color, small white head. Acidic, phenolic, spicy, yeasty scent. Acidic, yeastay, spicy, phenolic tate. Thin mouthfeel, low bitterenss.

Pale hazy yellow color, decent white head. Banana, coriander and bubblegum in the aroma, also some yeasty notes. Crisp, citrusy standard witbier. Light palate. Some sweetness, some spiceness. Easy to drink, propablt ok summer thirst-quencher, but easy to forget as well.

Bottle. Hazy / murky medium yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, wheat, moderate yeasty, pineapple, peach, spices. Flavor is light to moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (130907)

0.25 l bottle. Murky pale yellow body with quite small white head. Not much aroma of banana and citrus hops. Flavor is fine, a bit bitter at the moments, pleasant but a bit empty. Very nice finish, long and follows the flavor. Goes down very quickly. Not bad and very refreshing.

Medium white head. Opaque cloudy, pale yellow body. Light lemony yeasty aroma, with notes of flour. Acidic lemony wheat and yeast taste, quite light. Dryish aftertaste. Not much taste, but very drinkable. (0.33l bottle.)

Bottle at the Hopdevil in Zagreb Made by Palm and Moortgat. Interesting... It poured a hazy yellow colour with a small chalky white head that went away fast. The nbose was coriander mainly, a bit lactic as well. The taste was pleasant enough, but underwhelming; rice crispies, coriander, dusty yeast.. all ground up into a paste... can’t express my self better. Lactic., maybe some subdued lemon. A void where an aftertaste should be. Interesting... for a beer that claims agrumes in it (curacao), I can barely feel their presence. I kinda like it, but not much.
