Can (10/23/23) pour shared by Steve. Opaque dark brown with nice head with excellent retention and nice lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt, brown bread crust, crisped rice. Taste is strong earthy roasted malt, slightly bitter, mild cracker. Moderately thick texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Strong aroma and flavor for ABV with surprisingly thick texture for ABV.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish off-white and tan head, only a centimetre or so tall. Aroma of light lactose, a bunch of cream, some small doses of vanilla, chocolate and toasted malts with a dash of earthiness here as well. Light-bodied; Strong earthy and toasty malt notes with a lot of vanilla and lactose here as well with a dash of chocolate and grain with some rustic qualities here as well. Aftertaste shows a good deal of the toasted malt notes, some light vanilla and lactose creaminess along with some noticeable sugars, but a pretty thin malt body and light dose chocolate here without much else for support or pungency. Overall, a pretty nice, but very mild, super thin and soft beer with some toasty notes, a dash of malts, a hint of sugars and lactose with a creamy bite but nothing too exciting, especially for the style, which I was expecting some more body and richer malts here that didn't come out. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Bryant Park, 42nd Street), New York on 14-January-2023 for US$4,99 sampled a few minutes later on the streets of New York, New York with my wife and kids on 14-January-2023.

16oz can pours a murky amber with some creamy beige head. Nose has malt and some smoke and toast and licorice, bread dough. Flavors of malt and licorice and roast, some coffee, some caramel, a little less meaty. Medium bodied, off dry finish.
