Lots of caramel, tangerine marmalade. Slightly hazy golden pour with decent head bittersweet and tangy finish. But mostly sweet and boozy. Can.

Ridiculously hazy, deep and chunky amber coloured body with some hints of a gold tint through the haze, but a very large, five centimetre tall off-white microfoamed head that's nice above the 95 per cent opaque body. Aroma of mangoes, papaya, flowers, chamomile tea, oranges, alcohol, syrup and a good deal of wheat and oat malts - quite a bit in the nose, here. Full-bodied; Super rich, chewy mouthfeel with a lot of the papaya and mango notes that seem to add to the body and depth here, with a ton of orange, bitter grapefruit and resinous pungency from the hops seem to define this, but the strong malt notes do provide enough backbone here, with a lot of alcohol and residual sugars, too. Aftertaste is super rich throughout - relatively straight forward, but again, packing a lot of punch, so this lasts a long time, but does show the same profile as the taste. Overall, a very nice, incredibly rich IPA that gets Imperial Status thanks to the fruit notes, pungent hops and deep malt bill and still stays just about drinkable throughout - perhaps aside from this stupid sized packaging that I can't imagine anyone drinking this 'normally'! This one was nice to have very fresh for a great price, locally! I sampled this [huge] 19,2 ounce tall can, purchased from Giant Food in Alexandria (Potomac Yard), Virginia on 22-September-2022 for US$3,00, canned on 07-September-2022 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 01-November-2022.
