Bottle. Creamy head. Aroma has oak and hops. Just a bit of a barnyard smell. Both hoppy and malty flavor with caramel and apple. A bit herbal. (6 4 6 2 11 = 2.9) Brewery tap. Served in an old Steinkrug. Characterful beer with a caramelly malty flavor with flowery hops. Bitter aftertaste. Hint of butter. Very well brewed.

On tap @Ma che siete venuti a fà (Rome). Pours amber with a medium white head. Aroma is malty, honey, caramel, sugary, chestnut. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, with a light bitter end. Medium body, medium to low carbonation. A bit too sweet.

On tap at Franken Fest in Rome-Italy. Dark Amber pour, persistent off white head. Nose is almond pastry, rustic grains, bread crust. Mouth: elegant grassy, nuts, peppery. Nice! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark copper beer under an amberish, dense off-white head. Nutty, leafy (maybe a tad oxydation), melanoidin malts; Light-sweet taste, bready and leafy, but slightly dull. Light body, bit empty. Aftertaste is sweeter, bready. Strange - starts really dull, grows.

Many thanks to kevnic2008 for this bottle! Fresh, smooth beginning. Hints of grain that fit nicely into the malty and slightly bitter picture. The yeast is a bit dusty there, fresh. Hints of mould that fit in well, round and grainy smooth brew. Nice and solid!

Bottled, from Landbierparadies, Nuremberg. Hazy copper colour, small head. Fruity nose with some caramel and grass. Mid dry with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Bread and caramel, lightly bitter finish.

Bottle from Landbierparadies, Nurnberg. Amber in colour, with a short-lived white head. Easy drinking, malty brew, with a touch of caramel, hint of toast and a moderately bitter finish. Good.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkelbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, Karamell, leicht würzig. Geschmack angenehm röstmalzig, leichte schokoladige Noten, leicht würzig.

Thanks to quack-duck for that one. Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass very zippy, darker than exspected. Starts malty, modest dry, fine spicy notes. Finish modest sourish but well balanced. Quite drinkable.
