Bottle (231/840) shared with AFH, Chalumeaux, Clark VV. It's an opaque dark, dark brown with light viscosity, no head or lacing. Aroma is strong sweet malts, bourbon, spice, dark fruit. Taste is very strong bourbon/alcohol, dark fruit, pepper spice. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with thin, smooth texture, alcohol, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, alcohol comes through. Better to sit for another few months.

500 ml. 231/840. Aroma has vanilla, red wine, raisins. The flavor has way more spice then I had imagined. Black pepper and holiday spice. It is fine. Alcohol is not hidden for me either. Not a favorite.

Bottled 8/24/22, #231/840, drunk 2/25/23. Undetermined clarity, dark mahogany. No head. Dark and earthy, light pepper, medium salinity. Interesting barrel. Very soft chocolate with soft vanilla and hints of alcohol. Very carbonated, wow. Lots of black pepper, vanilla, light alcohol and very, very spicy bourbon. Soft and malty, great attenuation, so much bourbon spice, yet not boozey. Rich and malty cut by the medium-strong bourbon. Lingering bourbon warmth, black pepper, iodine....Vanilla, oak..brown sugar.
