Tenno Dry is our take on the Japanese Rice Lager. A strikingly pale color, this highly attenuated lager features puffed Jasmine rice and Sorachi Ace hops. Dry, thirst quenching, with mild rice sweetness and hoppy notes of lemon verbena and citrus peel.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to lager glass.
Appearance: clear yellow semi-pale color with a three finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: hay/straw notes; some lemon, cereal grains and some bready tones
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a sweet to semi-bitter quality; finishes the same way
Texture: light bodied and sessionable; smooth along the tongue and nothing there distracting; good carb
Overall: nice enough to come back to and possibly have with some sushi.

Can at home in Canaan. Sourced direct from the brewery. Pours crystal clear pale yellow with a small, foamy white head. Light to medium sweet with notes of white bread, biscuits, cereal, bitter hay and grass. Light bodied with average carbonation. Lightly drying finish, more pale biscuits, soft bitterness. Crisp and drinkable.

Clear pour at the brewery pours a clear gold. Nose is light grist, some jasmine, a little light tea and flowers. Flavor is slick with honey and rice and flowers and floral tea. Finishes light and refreshing. Scorching hot when I had it and it really hit the spot.

Can from the Packie Pours a mostly clear pale straw color with a thin white head that slowly recedes. Crackery pilsner maltiness with hints of sweet cereal grain and bits of earthy floral to counter. Clean well made.

Canned 7/19/22, drunk 7/31/22. Clear, extremely pale-golden with a small, white head that fades immediately to a ring. Floral and herbal with minimal fruitiness in the form of unripe stone fruit. Hint of rice pudding-like sweetness. Clean. In the mouth it's initially dry, with cracker malt leading into a sweet and fruity, round, rice character. Hops arrive to balance, adding floral and herbal notes. Ends with predominant sweetness though still properly attenuated. Lingering sourdough and herbal hop bitterness balances.

Pours hazy gold into an English pint. Soapy white head with medium retention recedes to mottle surface. Sweet meadow and hay aromas. Soft with sweet mochi and hay front to back. Mild, earthy bread finish.
