Can (2/25/24) pour from trade with AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! Hazy iced tea/dark honey with nice sparkle, small head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong dark fruit, caramel, toast, late hint of coffee. Taste is strong caramel, toast, bitter, late chocolate. Smooth, average carbonation, finish as taste. Excellent strength, decent complexity. Nice.

16 oz can. Aroma is dried fruit, bread, earth and roast. Taste is raisin, brown bread, moving into lager yeast and mild roast. Finish is sweet raisin bread with toasted grain. Nicely crafted.

Brewery draught, 5/17/23. Clear peachy-copper. Small, off-white head, moderate-to-low retention. Light fruitiness from malt with clean yeast, hints of caramel and very mild toast. Bit of floral and herbal hop notes, also quite mild. Soft, malty, toasty, very dry with strong herbal and lightly bitter hops to balance. Seems well-constructed though very different from the deep, rich, somewhat sweet maltiness of, say, Uerige Sticke.

On tap at the Roost during the Eggenberg event. Bang on for style. Malt forward and dry. Bready. A little toffee but mostly dry all the way through. 7 4 7 4 14
